Summer Staff Appreciation Events

The Staff Senate will host听听to kick off summer and the fiscal new year at three locations. Refreshments will be provided by Rita's Ice.听

Summer Plaza Programming at Mason Square听

The Plaza at hosts dynamic weekly programming and ongoing special events, open to the Mason and greater Arlington communities. All activities are free and open to the public.听

Check out the Summer Cinema Series, heading "Back to the '90s" with movies like The Lion King (June 30) and Men in Black (July 21). Movies on the Plaza start at 8 p.m. .听


High School Graduations at EagleBank Arena Conclude June 13听

Heavy traffic is expected on and near the Fairfax 海角社区 through June 13 due to high school graduation celebrations at EagleBank Arena.听听听

With multiple ceremonies most days, traffic will be entering and exiting campus from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., so please allow for extra travel time.听听听

Fairfax Parking Services Office: Hours Change

The Fairfax Parking Services office will close for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. each day except for the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters. If you have any questions, please call 703-993-2710 or email parking@gmu.edu.听


New Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Prompt听

Information Technology Services (ITS) is upgrading the Duo听application听used for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). The upgrade results in听a new look听for the Duo prompt users receive when verifying their identities.听

The new prompt already appears when using 2FA during sign-in to the听Patriot Pass听Password Management site. On Sunday, June 11, the new prompt will be added for applications using ADFS, including Office 365, Zoom, and the Student Health Services Portal, and Central Authentication Service (CAS) and Shibboleth, including websites like听myMason, Patriot Web, and Parking Services.听

Adjunct Faculty Success Workshop Set for August 12

罢丑别听听is specifically designed to meet the unique needs and challenges faced by adjunct faculty, support their transition to Mason, and develop practical teaching and learning strategies for success with their students.听听

Tony Skinn Youth Basketball Camps: Mason Employee Discount Available听

Mason men's basketball head coach Tony Skinn will host a pair of听听this June on the Fairfax 海角社区.听

Camps are open to children ages 7鈥14. Mason employees, alumni, and Patriot Club members are eligible for a $50 discount by using code STAFF50.听

Reminder: Metro Orange Line Platform Work This Summer听听

Construction work will occur on Metro鈥檚 Orange Line over the summer. Stations between Ballston and Vienna will be affected through July 16. For information on the project, including WMATA shuttle service while some stations are closed, visit the听. An overview of all planned听听is available.听


Interstellar Dreams Space Center Summer Camp

The Interstellar Dreams Space Center is launching a summer space camp. Interstellar Dreams blends 鈥渉ands-on" fun and "minds-on" tech with children鈥檚 imaginations to launch the future of space exploration.听听

Campers will explore space, imagine the future, and design the possibilities of ethical space tourism.听听

Mason Exhibitions: 'Edges of What I Feel'

Mason Exhibitions Arlington presents听, an exhibit that challenges the viewer to confront and embrace uncomfortable realities about mental and physical health. The exhibition features the work of the Healing Artist Collective and is open through August 26.听

The artists will host workshops and events every Friday and Saturday during the exhibition. Follow听听to stay updated on future events.听

The U.S. Army Blues, part of the United States Army Band 鈥淧ershing鈥檚 Own,鈥 is the premier jazz ensemble of the U.S. Army. After informal beginnings in 1970, this 18-piece ensemble became an official element of the Army Band in 1972. The Army Blues strive to fulfill their mission through public concerts, educational outreach, and the preservation of the tradition of America鈥檚 unique art form: jazz.听

ike Kamuf Little Big Band is a jazz ensemble that听brings together eight talented musicians from the Washington, D.C./Baltimore region. Wolf听is a multi-instrumentalist from听Baltimore, Maryland. From听age听three, Wolf has been trained on the vibraphone/marimba, drums, and piano. Under the guidance of his听father,听Warren听Wolf Sr., he has a deep background in all genres of music from classical to ragtime to jazz.听
