Biography

Sungsoo Ray Hong is an assistant professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology at º£½ÇÉçÇø. His research mission is to develop AI and human-AI collaboration systems that provide less risky and more useful outcomes aligned with target user groups' mental models and expectations. As of 2024, his research is supported by two NSF grants. He is currently a member of the program committee of ACM SIGCHI and ACM CSCW –– the top conference in Human-Computer Interaction and Social Computing. He is a director of the Alignment lab with five PhD students.
