George Mason’s men’s basketball had its best season in the program's Atlantic 10 history, with accolades that cement this season’s team in university history.

Three members of º£½ÇÉçÇø men's wrestling team will be competing at the NCAA Division I Men’s Wrestling Championship, held March 20-22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The º£½ÇÉçÇø’s women’s basketball team delivered a performance for the ages, claiming their first-ever Atlantic 10 Championship with a 73-58 victory over Saint Joseph's at the Henrico Sports and Events Center in Virginia.

º£½ÇÉçÇø has been crowned the Atlantic 10 Women's Indoor Track and Field Champions, claiming the title over VCU at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. The men's team placed second in the championship behind Rhode Island.

The intersection of art and technology has long been a space for innovation, creativity, and exploration. At George Mason’s Mason Autonomy and Robotics Center (MARC) located within the College of Engineering and Computing, this connection has taken center stage with the Integrating Art and Tech Project.

During the fall 2024 semester, º£½ÇÉçÇø students had the opportunity to apply their classroom curriculum to a real-world museum environment. The students, led by art history professor Robert DeCaroli, worked directly with objects in the holdings of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Asian Art as part of the ARTH 495/595 Curating an Exhibit course.

º£½ÇÉçÇø has received Virginia Board of Education funding for two of 14 lab schools being established around the commonwealth.

Stanley and Rosemary Hayes Jones continue their legacy of philanthropy at º£½ÇÉçÇø with a transformative $1 million gift to establish the Stanley and Rosemary Hayes Jones Networking Testbed Lab within the Fuse at Mason Square building.

Mason Community Arts Academy has been named one of the Best Summer Camps by  Northern Virginia Magazine every year since 2021. This summer, the program broke multiple records including the number of student participants at just under 1,900. The Acting for Young People program also broke its attendance record with 950 students.

This year, College of Public Health professor James (Jim) Metcalf joined some very rare company, becoming the fourth º£½ÇÉçÇø faculty member to mark 50 years of service.

Each year, the º£½ÇÉçÇø Alumni Association’s annual Celebration of Distinction recognizes outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center opened its doors at º£½ÇÉçÇø in 2010, and Marit Majeske, education coordinator, has been along for the ride ever since. Located on George Mason’s Science and Technology º£½ÇÉçÇø in Manassas, Virginia, the Hylton Center is managed by the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
