Adjunct professors are vital to the Schar School’s mission. Here’s what they bring to the classroom.

Over the summer, 24 students from ��������’s Antonin Scalia Law School delved deep into issues of constitutional law, separation of powers, and national security in Padua, Italy—a place of inspiration for many of these ideals. The two-week study-abroad trip was co-taught by Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and National Security Institute Founder and Executive Director Jamil Jaffer.

Mason will receive $1 million in federal funding to support the creation a first-of-its-kind Mason Center for Excellence in Government Cybersecurity Risk Management and Resilience, and nearly $1 million for the Saving Lives and Decreasing Health Disparities project

Outstanding Faculty Awards recognize faculty at Virginia’s public and private colleges and universities who exemplify the highest standards of teaching, scholarship and service. The award includes a $7,500 gift from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation when they are formally recognized at an in-person ceremony in Richmond on March 7.

On Jan. 9, over 400 students from five counties and 22 high schools came together at Mason for CyberSlam 2023, to get hands-on learning about opportunities in cybersecurity. The huge gathering was deemed a state affair, as interest in CyberSlam increased significantly from last year.
