George Mason has a long history of supporting the arts on campus and in the community. With seven academic programs, seven galleries, six community arts programs, two major venues, and the digital venue Mason Arts Amplified, Mason Arts continues to create a thriving artistic community right here in Northern Virginia.

Mason Empty Bowls is supporting George Mason's Food and Housing Insecurity Fund through a delicious meal and handmade ceramics.

Following renovation, the performing arts venue on the Fairfax º£½ÇÉçÇø will be renamed the Barry Dewberry and Arlene Evans Center for the Arts.

New content will launch throughout January 2025 on Mason Arts Amplified, Mason Arts’s digital venue which features live and on-demand performances, lectures, behind-the-scenes talks, and more from º£½ÇÉçÇø’s Center for the Arts, the Hylton Performing Arts Center, and College of Visual and Performing Arts.

º£½ÇÉçÇø's College of Visual and Performing Arts celebrates a successful 2024 ARTS by George! raising more than $250,000 to support Mason Arts. The evening featured Tony and Olivier Award winner Lea Salonga.

Center for the Arts engagement activities with Mason Artist-in-Residence Ballet Hispánico include a master class and classroom visits with George Mason students, workshops for area schools and community groups, Latin social dances for the public and Mason community, and a free school time performance.

Headlined by award-winning singer and actress Lea Salonga, the annual benefit event raises funds for student scholarships at the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA). Since its launch in 2006, ARTS by George! has raised more than $4.1 million for Mason Arts.

The Peterson Family Foundation and George Mason’s College of Visual and Performing Arts announce a transformational gift toward the reimagining of the Center for the Arts on the university’s Fairfax º£½ÇÉçÇø.

A group of º£½ÇÉçÇø mechanical engineering students are building a motorized Vitruvian man for a Center for the Arts (CFA) performance of "Flying to the Stars," a choral concert dedicated to the beginnings of flight from the time of Leonardo da Vinci to the exploration of space. 

Right before Earth Day, Small Island Big Song presents a "jaw-dropping" (Billboard) concert experience at the Center for the Arts on April 20, combining music, spoken word, and stunning projections to showcase unique oceanic grooves and soulful island ballads, while shining a light on the devastating effects of climate crisis on our world’s oceans. As a Mason Artist-in-Residence, Small Island Big Song will also deeply engage with the community through a series of education and engagement programs.
