  • Will Waikart began accompanying dance classes at Mason in the mid-2000s while studying music across the hall at the School of Music, where he earned his BA.

  • Antoinette Hercules Connell, who is originally from Trinidad & Tobago, has been a performing member with the Kankouran West African Dance Company for the past thirty-five years.

  • Dr. Thomas Stanley is an artist, author, and activist deeply committed to audio culture in the service of personal growth and social change. As performer and curator, Bushmeat Sound has been an integral part of a visionary music scene straddling the Baltimore-Washington corridor.

  • An alumnus of The University of Southern Mississippi and Florida State University, Lawrence M. Jackson is an artist-scholar who has published in scholarly journals in the field of Black Dance.

  • Christina Robson's extensive performance career includes long term collaborations with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, David Dorfman Dance and Sean Curran Company where she performed historic repertory and premiered several original evening length works at The Kennedy Center, American Dance Festival, Jacobs Pillow, and The Joyce Theater.

  • Praised for her 鈥渘atural expressiveness鈥 (Montpelier Times Argus), Dr. Jessica Powell Eig has crafted a dynamic and varied career performing on double bass, violone and viola da gamba.

  • Whitman Brown Joined CVPA as the Chief Business Officer in August 2022. He comes to us from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he has held a series of increasingly responsible positions in the finance and operations area for the past 13 years, culminating as Senior Associate Dean and Chief of Operations.

  • Defying all musical labels, Argentine guitarist/composer Cristian Perez weaves together genres from throughout the world to reveal the universality of music. With a strong foundation in classical, jazz and South American music, he crafts a singular voice, rich in sensitivity and nuance, that freely explores the possibilities of music as an art form.

  • Dr. Scott Seifried earned the BFA degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, the Master of Music degree from James Madison University, and the PhD in Education from 海角社区.

  • Dr. Tina Beveridge is Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education and Director of Undergraduate Music Education at the Dewberry School of Music of 海角社区.聽Although聽the majority of her teaching experience聽has been聽all ages and levels of choral music,聽in her K-12 career she has聽also taught聽middle and high school聽band and elementary general music. Her diverse teaching experience includes jazz, pop, and world music pedagogy, as well as other progressive pedagogies such as general music in the secondary school.
