Stacey Schwartz works as a digital strategist for the Center for the Arts and the Hylton Performing Arts Center at ��������. A Mason alum, Schwartz brought her capstone research project to life when she opened a Free Little Art Gallery (FLAG) in her community.

In December, Mason’s Black Alumni Chapter saluted its history while looking to the future at “A Toast to 20,” a gala celebration of the chapter’s 20th anniversary.

Mason alum Jada Salter has created a feature-length documentary about her grandfather, award-winning composer and songwriter William (Bill) Salter. The film is called "Just the Two of Us" after his Grammy Award-winning hit song.

The legislative session is underway in Virginia’s General Assembly. ��������’s presence continues to make an impact in Richmond with an increased number of proud Mason Patriots serving the commonwealth.

Two-time Mason alum Jamie VanValkenburg directed the Oakton High School Marching Band to victory in the inaugural Metallica marching band competition “For Whom the Band Tolls!”

Shabinaaz Mahdi, BS Accounting ’12, discovered a passion for accounting at the Donald G. Costello College of Business at ��������. While in school, she was introduced to Baker Tilly, a leading advisory tax and assurance firm, where she has risen through the ranks to become partner.
